Trump Apologetics
by azor inwhat do you think it will take to get the defenders, and equivocators to stop their apologetics?.
i'm beginning to wonder if we will literally see the king walking down the street with no clothes and still have the equivicators on this board make excuses.

PUT YOUR THINKING CAPS ON...AGAIN! (Zeb's thread regarding 1914)
by redpilltwice in23 days ago, zeb posted this familiar but ever intriguing thread regarding 1914, the mother of all topics.. put youir [sic] thinking caps on.zeb 23 days ago this was sent to me from doug shields blog.
for those who like stats and numbers may find this of interest.1914 – recognizing the ”the elephant in the room”.
the problem with the date ”1914 ad” lays with the two calendars that are involved – jewish and gregorian.

Back in the late 1800s, the doctrine - absurdly false as it was - had more consistency than its replacement doctrine after 1914. I'm referring to the version before today's were you had 1914 + a generation. Here's the reason:
- The end times were from 1799-1914.
- Armageddon was from 1874-1914.
- The Millennium was to start at 1914.
The inconsistency comes when they dropped the Millennium from 1914. If you recall the doctrine of Type/Anti-Type, Nebuchadnezzar was prophesied to go insane for 7 'times' then regain his sanity AFTER the 7 times were over. Back then, in the 19th century, that had some consistency since JW doctrine held that the nations would survive (somewhat) right into the (1914+) Millennium and be blessed by it.
But then they changed the doctrine separating 1914 from the Millennium and, more importantly, claimed that man-made disasters started intensifying since then.
So how would 'typical' Nebuchadnezzar, who regained his sanity after his 7 times, be compared to the 'anti-typical' nations (Which he prophetically represented.) who actually got worse after their 7 times?

Was looking at my childhood book "From Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained" I found something interesting.
by Still Totally ADD ini was showing a friend of mine what kind of books my parents allowed me to read when i was very young.
no children books that was age related but the so called orange paradise book was my only children book i had.
she was taken back on how violent it was and showing little kids being killed by god was just unspeakable.

Still Totally ADD,
What kind of people think up this shit?
The Freddy Franz's of this world. He ghost wrote many of the publications of that era.
I also remember the statement about people having their eyes and tongues waste away because they didn't believe in 1914. I think it was located a page or two from the pretty pictures.

Sample Disassociation Letter please?
by LifesNotOver ini want to send a disassociation letter to the elders at my old congregation.
how do i address it and what wording do i use?
i know it's not something i have to do, it's symbolic for me.

If you put your letter in bullet points make sure they are placed before you state you want to be DA. This will guarantee that they read the bullet points. You might want to use no more than half a dozen bullet points for your entire letter with the request for DA at the end.
Here's an example:
Dear elders,
- Because you have defamed Jehovah with continuous false prophecies.
- Because you have allowed pedophiles to remain in good standing in your congregations.
- Because you have taken away the most precious time of our children's and adult lives in order to serve an organization.
- ...
I have decided to disassociate from your organization.

Welcome, Confused3426!
Let me recommend you getting a pdf copy of Crisis of Conscience by Raymond Franz. He was a former member of the Governing Body who got disfellowshipped for going out to lunch with a disassociated JW. This book will give you a jolt. It's not about doctrines but rather the character of the organization.

Do JWs Regard You As An APOSTATE?
by minimus ini doubt people consider me an apostate but you never know.🤓.
-
Village Idiot
Yes, and they're in fear of me. I live in a large apartment complex mostly inhabited by JWs and I walk by them all the time. On one occasion two JW women were walking right by my car while I was in there and one told the other that I was disfellowshipped for apostasy. Right where I could hear them as if I wasn't there.
I have a reputation here since I've circulated an anti-Witness tract 20 years ago.
